Namita Dhawan-Muren is a legal associate at the Initiative for Medicines, Access & Knowledge (I-MAK). Prior to her role at I-MAK, she worked in private practice as an attorney specializing in patent litigation, patent due diligence, and antitrust litigation.
Namita received a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology from UC Berkeley. While in law school, she interned with I-MAK, during which she came to appreciate how critical I-MAK’s technical and legal expertise was to its successful advocacy.
In her role as legal associate, Dhawan-Muren will bring a practice lens to her work with the programs and communications teams to help inform the design of policy solutions, develop messaging around legal and policy developments, and enhance I-MAK’s ability to successfully navigate the patent law landscape.
