Aaron Pattillo brings over 20 years of experience at the intersection of biotechnology, global health, and strategic consulting. He is deeply committed to advancing equitable access to life-saving medicines and creating sustainable health solutions for underserved populations. In his role at I-MAK, Aaron draws on his extensive expertise in market dynamics to address the systemic inequities that limit access to affordable medicines.
Previously, at the William J. Clinton Foundation, Aaron was a founding member of the Drug Access Team, where he played a pivotal role in securing significant cost reductions for essential HIV medicines in the Global South. He has also served as a Senior Fellow in the Market Shaping practice at Results for Development and worked as an independent consultant on projects aimed at improving global supply chains for essential medicines and strengthening healthcare delivery systems in low-income regions. His clients have included the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, African Society for Laboratory Medicine, and the TB Alliance.
In the private sector, Aaron has held leadership roles in business and corporate development at Xcyte Therapies and UrgentRx. At Burrill & Company, a leading life sciences venture capital firm, he contributed to the evaluation of biotech investment opportunities and conducted due diligence on emerging ventures.
Aaron holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Colgate University.
